Fluidity Films is an innovative film production company run on lines similar to a theatre company, with a low budget, equal pay mentality that will deliver exhilarating, well-made British films with realistic budgets and individual, distinctive voices.

We want to see as much money as possible on screen and not spent on big office/big staff overheads. We are based in the South West and work on a project by project basis, so avoiding unnecessary costs.

The company is owned by Simon Reade and Guy de Beaujeu and currently has an eclectic range of projects on its slate including feature films, feature documentaries, children’s drama and arthouse projects.

We have recently financed and completed Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful, directed by Pat O’Connor, adapted by Simon Reade and with international sales by Goldcrest.

We have also recently released comedy docudrama What You Will through Soda Pictures.

We are in development on a number of films including two major literary adaptations and a WW1 project.

The company believes strongly in the importance of top quality writing across all genres – both Guy and Simon are writers (of screenplays and books) as well as producers.

•  As much finance as possible will go on screen – we will not use it to support expensive offices and a large permanent staff

•  We will work to tight budgets and deadlines to ensure we get value for money

•  We will work with the best talent we can offering back end deals rather than upfront fees

•  We want to work collaboratively with cast and crew who love what we are doing creatively

•  We will always explore our creative breadth – we want to work on arts projects and mainstream material in both documentaries and feature films

•  We will tell great British stories with broad appeal

•  We will work with the best writers and adaptors – we are looking for individual voices
