Guy de Beaujeu - Producer
Guy has been a media planner/buyer, building labourer, PR and marketing consultant and a frozen sheep's carcass despatcher among other things. In 1996 he decided to chuck it in and become a writer.
Since then he has written and produced the short films Mashed and Shopping for Love, an award winner which has been sold around the world. He also writes and produces corporate videos, infomercials and radio commercials. Living in Hope is his first feature film.
He is also the co-originator and presenter of Gatecrashers, completing the second of two series for Carlton/ITV2 in late 2001. He’d rather not talk about it.
He is currently rewriting No, his next feature to be shot with John Miller under Fluidity Films. He has three other features on the slate. He is also working on a new film, which he describes as Dogme meets The Ice Storm currently called A Family Death.
Guy also writes ads, does a few voice-overs and is even seen very occasionally acting in various corporates. His last effort in Shopping was left on the cutting room floor. A very good thing too some might say.
He watches more sport than he plays, but when he does get off his butt, he enjoys cricket, golf and tennis He hates going to the gym.
